Who we are

A club built on
a borrowed court

The Panthers began as a school programme in 2015 and grew into a club with senior men, a ladies side, a junior academy and a wheelchair team. We are volunteer led, community funded, and sanctioned by the Matabeleland North Basketball Association.

Our home court is outdoor concrete at Chamabondo Primary School. There is no roof, no scoreboard and no budget worth the name. There is a full fixture list, a school league we run ourselves, and a town that turns up on a Saturday.

We do not wait for facilities to arrive. We play on what we have, and we make it count. Club philosophy

Basketball for Good

The game is
the excuse

Behind every session there is a second curriculum: turning up on time, speaking in front of a group, handling a loss, staying in school. Children arrive for the ball and stay because somebody notices when they do not show up.

  1. Weekly training

Every weekday at 5pm, term time and holidays.

  2. Life skills workshops

Run alongside sessions, never instead of them.

  3. Talent identification

Into provincial squads and national development pathways.
