Most school sport here is a one-off tournament. The VFJBL is a season: fixtures every week, a standings table, promotion and relegation, and a final that means something.
The league is sanctioned by the Matabeleland North Basketball Association and feeds national development pathways under the Basketball Union of Zimbabwe.
